Getting Married in British Columbia

Our Lay Chaplains

Our Lay Chaplains
Unitarian Lay Chaplains are elected by members of congregation to receive training and mentorship on providing Rites of Passage to Unitarians and members of the larger community. Lay Chaplains are often the public’s first exposure to the Unitarian faith, and thus our Lay Chaplains become spokespeople for our faith’s open, non-dogmatic, liberal search for meaning and community. Lay Chaplains have been providing meaningful rites of passage across Canada since 1970. We bring experience, skill, compassion and creativity to the hundreds of weddings performed every year.
